Essentials byKikarose: Subscription Review #9

I was generously gifted the Essentials byKikarose Box in exchange for an honest review. All opinions herein are mine only.

Today I am happy to share with you the box I received from Essentials byKikarose.

According to their website, the Essentials byKikarose monthly subscription box contains “a beautifully handcrafted piece of essential oil jewelry along with a unique essential oil blend sample and other healthy living goodies.”

If you fill out the survey about yourself when ordering, they will tailor the jewelry in each box to your tastes or sizes.

I was going to include a photo of the items inside of the box, but unfortunately, some of the oil in the sugar scrub must have leaked a little, as the pretty hot pink tissue paper and a corner of the box had a few oily spots. This didn’t seem to affect the products inside, besides making everything smell great that is.

In my box, I received a cute essential oil diffusing clay pendant necklace, a 1 ounce tin of Beat the Blahs Sugar Scrub, a small bottle of Beat the Blahs essential oil blend, and a laminated card with “5 Ways to Show Yourself Love in February.” Also included was a nice welcome note describing the box’s contents and another with information about the ingredients of the sugar scrub.

The Beat the Blahs oil blend and sugar scrub both smell fabulous, the oil contains a blend of grapefruit, citrus fresh blend, and frankincense. It is light and uplifting- just what is needed for winter!

I used the sugar scrub during my last bath. It made my skin feel soft and not overwhelmingly strong-scented, nor did it leave a greasy feeling like some sugar scrubs containing oils that I have used in the past.

I really like the essential oil diffuser pendant. It has a simple and elegant design and worked great to help me enjoy the smell of the Beat the Blahs oil all day.

I enjoyed the self-care tips, in fact, I hung it in my cubicle at work so that I would see it each day and be reminded to take care of myself. Better self-care is one of my goals; you can read more about this in my new weekly series, The Prioritizing Health, Wellness, and Self-Care Challenge.

  • Month to month is $32.00.
  • The 3-month pre-pay plan is $93.00.
  • The 6-month pre-pay plan is $180.00
  • The 12-month pre-pay plan is $348.00

There is also an option to purchase an Essentials byKikarose gift card so you can give someone the gift of a single box, 3-month, 6-month, or 1 year subscription.

My thoughts

I think this is a fun box. A subscription would be a great way to try new products with different essential oils plus receive a cute new piece of jewelry each month.

It would make a nice gift for a friend, family member, or even for yourself.

Depending on the amount or size of the contents of the box, one could call the subscription a bit on the pricey side; the sample sizes of the sugar scrub and bottle of oil were a little small. But, I do understand the amount of artistry and time that goes into the creation of jewelry and other products, as well as the cost of the materials, packaging, and shipping.

Overall, I give Essentials byKikarose 4 out of 5 stars

Only knocking off one star due to the leaked product and the mini size of the two products.
