My name is Sarah. I live in Kansas with my husband and two kids.
I am a self-professed geek, Francophile, Trekkie, Whovian, coffee and chocolate addict, and lover of books. I love traveling and have visited 20 different countries. I enjoy concerts and attending Comic-Cons with my husband. I have always enjoyed creative activities, like drawing, painting, sewing, jewelry making, and cooking.
As a kid, one of the things I wanted to be was a writer. After many attempts at writing as an adult, I thought, “Hey, what about blogging?” I toyed with the idea for a long time and decided to try it.
Three years ago I created Mommin’ in the Real World as a place where I could share my experiences being newly married, as a new parent, as a homeowner, and somewhere I could chronicle my dabbles in creativity.
I began my blog as a creative outlet while I was on maternity leave with my first child, but it has grown to be so much more than that. Mommin’ in the Real World gives me the opportunity to write about my passions: parenting, my family, art, writing, and helping others.
Honestly, I don’t know what the hell I am doing: I just take it one day at a time. Follow me to get a glimpse into my world- my experiences, who I am, what I learn, how my family is growing, and more.
Look around, enjoy, and leave me some feedback.
